Since AKB49 scanslation progress has more or less been filibustered (at any rate, progress on chapter 17 won't begin until chapter 14 is released by the current scanslator as per our scanslation/release policy and won't see the light of day until chapter 16 is released), we're considering new projects. The presence of only a chinese to english translator severely limits our choices though.

Links found on Farhad's forums. As such, any completed scanslations will be exposed there first. No promises on any deadlines; these one shots are both long and detailed (read: typesetting headache).
As for AKB49, would you consider working with another group such as sense-scans? If you don't translate the raws, you can do some of the other parts such as cleaning the raws (clean, level), editing (erasing kanji in some places and redrawing the image to replace the erased parts), etc. Some groups out there do that already in order to catch up on series that already have a bunch of chapters released.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, we don't have enough manpower. As it is, we're trying to joint with Animanga Cafe to have Sekainohate released more regularly. AKB49 is a good manga, but given that Sense has a reasonable release rate we won't be working on it.
